Tamra Gentry
Artist working in fine-art photographic studies of stone.
Tamra M. Gentry is an American artist exploring geological form, mineral pattern, and the quiet architecture of stone through photographic interpretation.
Practice
Gentry's work focuses on macro-scale photographic studies of agates, jaspers, and other geological materials. Each image begins with a single stone specimen and becomes a limited edition photographic work exploring structure, pattern, and deep time.
Response
“Tamra does more than take pictures of rocks—she transforms them into incredible works of art that draw you in and cause you to question your place in the universe.”
—M. Nichols
