Tamra M. Gentry (sometimes mistakenly spelled "Tamara Gentry") is a St. Louis-born, Chicagoland-based American artist exploring geological form, mineral pattern, and the quiet architecture of stone through photographic interpretation.
Practice
Gentry's work focuses on macro-scale photographic studies of agates, jaspers, and other geological materials. Each image begins with a single stone specimen and becomes a limited edition photographic work exploring structure, pattern, and deep time.
